Who’s Cookin’?

The founder and curator of the Burnt Food Museum isn’t just a creative cook.  She’s also a Grammy-Nominated composer and performer whose works for electric harp and symphony are played throughout the world and whose award-winning musical “The Golden Cage” was just released worldwide on the Streaming Musical network.

Want to see what kind of person has such a creative mind that she can invent her own instrument, write musicals win a lifetime achievement award on one of the world’s most unique instruments – AND create a museum that’s appeared in countless books, media appearances – and even as a question on NPR’s “Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me?”

Now Celebrating More than Three Delightful
Decades of Culinary Disaster

Welcome to the Burnt Food Museum

The museum was founded in the late 1980’s one night when found-and-curator Deborah Henson-Conant put on a small pot of Hot Apple Cider to heat, then received an unexpected . . . fascinating . . . and very long phone call. By the time Deborah returned to the kitchen, the Cider had become a “Cinder” and thus the first, and perhaps still the most impressive, exhibit: “Free Standing Hot Apple Cider” was born.

SINCE THEN, countless other works have entered the museum.

And the food here is still just as good as it was then!
